RURAL HEALTHCARE PROGRAMS
INTRODUCTION: Rural healthcare is the
“healthcare services” of people living in rural areas, who generally are
located farther from health care facilities and other services than people
living in urban areas. Rural people have limited access to health care services
due to economic factors, cultural and social differences, educational
shortcomings, workforce shortage, less transportation options, exposures to
specific environmental hazards, such as water quality and the sheer isolation of
living in remote areas all unite to create health care disparities and impede
rural Bangladesh.
