SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAM

INTRODUCTION: Marginal and deprived communities isolated from the mainstream economy and is important in bringing social upliftment. The Mission of our foundation is to promote the Social (community) Entrepreneurs because their business activity is undertaken as a means of achieving community benefit along with their personal gain. We promote the social entrepreneurs who involve the marginal people and use their business models to address social and environmental issues, such as poverty, climate change, and access to education and healthcare. Marginal People, in general, are faced with issues related to poverty, illiteracy, lack of skills, poor health care systems, etc. These are problems that cannot be tackled individually but can be better solved through group efforts. There is a need to organize the poor and marginalized to come together for solving individual or collective problems. Community-based entrepreneurship is now seen as a viable alternative for development processes.

The aim of the M22 Doctors’ Foundation is to ensure the financial benefit of 10 to 15 marginal people by promoting one Social Entrepreneur.

HOW WE HELP a group of Marginal people through our SOCIAL-ENTREPRENURESHIP PROGRAM?

[a]. M22 Doctors’ Foundation will provide the project fund to “a Social Entrepreneur” for the establishment of his business where at least 10 to 15 underprivileged people can be benefited financially. A social entrepreneur must be skilled personnel, experienced & empathetic to his community.

[b]. The common small scale businesses for a social entrepreneur  are the followings: “Computer training & service center”,  Vocational training centers , Livestock & poultry farming, Mushroom & vegetable farming, Honey-bee farming, Low -cost restaurant in a village market, Vegetable Farming, Multipurpose tailoring shop including embroidery & quilt stitching, Traditional handicap shop, Green-recycle plant, small scale factory, Biogas plant, Horticulture & nursery farming, small scale food processing factory,  a multipurpose skill development training and sales center [includes a, training on  Hair cutting, Handicrafts, Cattle rearing, Goat rearing, Poultry rearing, Vegetable farming, Honey-bee farming, Mushroom farming, Bio-gas plant installation etc.]

[c]Monitoring the benevolent for stable earnings, savings & the need-based expenditure for the family members.
