PROFESSION & INCOME OF BENEVOLENT:    Mr. Awal used to run a very small-scale Retail-business, mostly selling of bunch of bananas in two shifts a day. He had no personal savings & used to collect bananas daily from the Mahajan (Wholesaler) on credit basis. The monthly income was very poor (BDT 7,000 to 8000), as he had to reimburse the credit to his Mahajan at the end of the day. It was difficult to maintain 3 meals a day for his family members  with that  earnings. His net requirement estimated   BDT 14000(+) per month to run the family. He had to beg cash from the relatives and neighbors frequently to meet the expenditure of his wife’s medical cost.

OVERALL LIVING CONDITION OF MR AWAL, THE BENEVOLENT [BEFORE FUNDING]

PLANNED TO HELP THE BENEVOLENT:  Mr. Awal is a hardworking person & wanted to expand his business, but he had no scope to grow further. After  discussion with our benevolent, Dr Jhumi, the convener of this project came to know that he had an experience of running a grocery shop. If a grocery shop could be arranged, then he might run it with the help of his two sons. Then Dr Jhumi collected information about Mr. Awal and his family by the help of her known source named as Mr. Rasel. Mr. Rasel is also a resident of the same village, and has a convincing personality among the local community.  The amount calculated as BDT Eighty thousand by considering the shop building cost and initial goods to be purchased for the shop.

FUND ALLOCATION OF THE PROJECT: BDT 80,000 [ Taka Eighty Thousand only]. The Total amount of fund handed over to the benevolent (Mr. Awal) in 2 installments. First installment was used for the construction of the grocery shop. It took 5s. After that the second installment was used to purchase the initial grocery goods. All the project work has been supervised by Mr. Rasel Dhola, the key person of Dr Jhumi, the convener of the project.

FUND HANDOVER CEREMONY @ THE OFFICE OF M22 DOCTORS’ FOUNDATION

OUTCOME OF THE PROJECT:    Mr. Awal has been running his won business with a significant earning for his family. His struggle for income to go here & there has been reduced. Moreover, he can deposit a small amount for his future need. There are more scopes of expansion this small business if our benevolent wills. M22 Doctors’ Foundation is ready to help him in future till his financial condition reaches a stable condition.

PLAN FOR PROJECT SUSTAINABILITY:  The project has been supervising on regular basis with lots of positive Instructions for its viability. Also instructed to expand the new items of the shop as per need of the neighbors. (example: a tea corner etc.) .Mr. Awal has been encouraged to start a monthly savings deposit in a nearby national bank. His two sons have been advised to engage other supporting income generating works, like the plantation of trees, live stoke & poultry farming, mushroom cultivation, vermicompost, biogas plant and so on. In fact, we are more concerned   to find out the small but effective income generating sources along with this grocery shop.
