Name Of Benevolent                 :           Mr. Loka Barua, 46 yrs. old.

 INCOME BEFORE FUNDING:   Monthly cost of living of Mr. Loka is about BDT Twenty thousand (20,000) only. Net monthly income about BDT 12 thousand only. So total monthly deficit of Loka Barua is about BDT Eight thousand (8000) only.

PROFESSION OF BENEVOLENT:  Mr. Loka Barua is a daily agricultural field worker.  He takes lease agricultural land from people and cultivate seasonal agricultural products i.e., vegetables, potato etc. The expenditure of his farming has been maintained by taking loan from microcredit bank. His monthly income is not very handsome, moreover he has to reimburse his loan-installment per week.

As a result, it is difficult for him to maintain his monthly family expanses (5 Basic needs: food, housing repair & maintenance cost, education of children and their attires and the treatment costs), i.e. Thereby maintain a Poor quality of life in conclusion.

PLANNNED TO HELP THE BENEVOLENT:Mr. Loka Barua is an industrious person & has some work experiences and hands-on training on Livestock rearing, poultry farming, mushroom cultivation and seasonal vegetables farming as well. Dr. Mong, the member of the foundation is a neighbor of Mr. Loka Barua and planned to help him monetarily through M22 Doctors’ Foundation with the aim to make his life self-reliant. Considering the ability of the benevolent person, his willingness, local small business trends & stable support of the selected business, the following proposal had been approved & implemented.

A.     [[BUSINESS PROPOSALS FOR MR. LOKA BARUA:

a.      To allocate a milking Cow [ Traditional read cow of Chittagong (RCC)]: 

b.      To purchase 500 mushroom seeds.

B.     Fund Allocated: BDT 87,000.

a.      18 months old RCC: BDT 50,000

b.      RCC shed built cost: 10,000

c.      RCC feeding cost: 12,000 (6 months)

d.      500 mushroom seeds cost: 15,000

OUTCOME OF THE PROJECT  : The followings are the positive outcome of this project:  Mr. Loka Barua will get rid of his regular debt from the local Mahajan. [a] He will also get rid of the monthly deficit of BDT 8000(Eight thousand), [ b] Moreover, he will be able to deposit an amount in Sonali Bank. After 3 years, he will get a good amount of deposit, with this money he can fulfil his other basic needs like, repair of his house, arrange the supply safe drinking water, waste disposal, sanitation, overall improving the quality of life, [c] The education of his children will be continuous and sound., The family members will get nutrition from the Milk and mushroom, [d] The capital investment is one time, but its benefit will be continued for next 5 years. By this time Mr. Loka will own   a significant amount of capital. So, he can invest more, [e]After 5 years support, his son can complete his education uneventfully and enters in to an entrepreneurship or a decent job, [f] Mr. Loka will be encouraged to start a Medical, Marriage and or education policy for himself and the children as well.

PLAN FOR PROJECT SUSTAINABILITY The project has been monitoring regularly By Dr Mong himself for its viability. Mr. Loka is experienced and trained on these field. He will get support from Upazilla livestock office, Vatenary hospital and Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute situated nearby from his location. There is a green grazing field adjacent to his house. it will support to rear his livestock. Mr. Loka will be encouraged to start a monthly savings deposit amounting 4 thousand BDT in nearby SONALI BANK. After 3 years he will get a savings of BDT 144,000. His wife & Children will help Mr. Loka time to time.

Mr. Loka Barua’s project is a long-term self-reliant project. He will be able to get the benefit form the project after a couple of months as the RCC will give birth calves & mushroom to harvested as well.    M22 Doctors’ Foundation provides medical advices for his family & the neighbors through telemedicine time to time.
