Dr. Sukriti Das is a highly qualified and experienced Neurosurgeon in Bangladesh, working as Professor and Unit Chief in Neurosurgery Department in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka. He has been working as Specialist in the field of Neurosurgery and General Surgery for the last 26 years. He has special fascination in Neuro trauma, Clinical Neurosurgery and Endoscopic Neurosurgery. He is a dedicated, self-motivated professional with an excellent academic career since his childhood, graduate and post graduate level.

EDUCATION: Dr. Sukriti Das completed his MBBS from Mymensingh Medical College, Under Dhaka University in January 1992.He achieved his postgraduation FCPS in General Surgery from Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons (BCPS), Dhaka, Bangladesh in January 1999. After that he has successfully completed second fellowship (FRCS) from Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK in 2003. He has special fascination for Neurosurgery so he started his Master’s training and course immediate after completing FCPS (Surgery). Then he has successfully completed MS in Neurosurgery from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in July 2004.Since then he has been working as Assistant Professor (Neurosurgery) and Specialist in Government Medical College Hospital and Private Hospital. Recently he has been awarded FACS from American College of Surgeons 2023.He is a good teacher, course coordinator and Academician. He tries to improve and standard the level of education and course curriculum in Graduate and Post Graduate. He is regular Examiner in MBBS Final Examination, MCPS Final (General Surgery, EYE, ENT), FCPS Final (Ophthalmology), FCPS Final (ENT), MS Old Curriculum (Second & Final Part), MS Residency Phase A & B, FCPS Final (Neurosurgery), MD Final (Neurology).

PUBLICATION & RESEARCH: He has successfully completed Three (03) Research work and One (01) Research work is ongoing in Department under the University Grant Commission. Till today he has completed 65 National and International Publication. He has supervised and act as Guide Nine (09) Thesis in MS Neurosurgery.

WORK EXPERIENCE: He has started his career as medical officer, Surgery in 1994 in Birdem Hospital, then he worked as Assistant Registrar in Rajshahi Medical College Hospital 1997 to 1999. He worked as Registrar, Surgery in Dhaka Medical College Hospital. He promoted as Assistant Professor in Shere-Bangla Barishal Medical College Hospital in 2005, He transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in 2009 as Assistant Professor. He promoted as Associated Professor in 2013. He joined BSMMU in 2020. Currently he has been working as a Professor and Unit Head of the Department of Neurosurgery, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).

OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Member of Bangladesh Society of Neurosurgeons since 2004, Member of Neuropile Society of Bangladesh since 2009, Life Member of Bangladesh Medical Association, Life Member of Society of Surgeons of Bangladesh. In his Leadership A Renowned Hospital named Manikgonj Central Specialized Hospital and Research Center has been started in 2016 with the aim of provide standard health services for the deprived rural poor people of the Country.

FAMILY: He is a father of a male child, Suprotim Das, Student of Class VIII, Mastermind School. His Wife Dr. Sharbari Dey, FCPS (Gynae) FCPS (RE & Infertility), FRCOG working as Assistant Professor in Department of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility at Government Medical College Hospital.
