Dr. Arifur Akhand, was born and raised in Nandail, Mymensingh, Bangladesh. He earned his undergraduate degree from Mymensingh Medical College, Mymensingh, Bangladesh    in January ,1992. He moved to the United States in the year 1998 and completed his residency in Family Medicine in 2010 from Connemaugh Memorial Hospital, Pennsylvania. Currently, Dr. Arifur Akhand has been practicing Family Medicine as a Primary care physician in Veterans Affairs Clinic, Martinsburg VA Medical Center, Winchester, Virginia, USA. His goal is to provide personalized care to all populations with empathy and compassion.
